Will MW3 have boosters?
According to reports from those who got the game early, the Tactical Insertion can be used in FFA in MW3. However, the Tac Insertion cannot be unlocked until Level 63. One thing's for sure: If MW3 has boosters, at least booster hunting will be a COD sport again.

Leaked MW3 video - main menu
A legitimate video of the MW3 menus. Lucky guy managed to get his hands on MW3 5 days early. Seemingly; they're blocking people from the multiplayer until release date.

Less than 7 days until MW3 is released.
After a long summer and autumn of waiting for Modern Warfare 3, we are less than a week away from getting our hands on the game. Will you be lining up at midnight for the release? Will you wait until the next day? Will you be waiting until Christmas?

COD MW3 details leaked ahead of official announcement?
Activision has yet to even announce the eighth installment in the COD series, it hasnt stopped people from speculating that Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 8 and will feature large scale destructible environments.
Kotaku reports that Infinity Ward has joined forces with Activision Sledgehammer Games and possibly Raven Software to work on the new COD MW3. It speculates on the storyline, claiming that an anonymous source has revealed that the plot continues from where Modern Warfare 2 left off, and will be set in an urban environment “with military vehicles, including tanks, rolling through suburban streets.”
Whats most interesting about the latest rumors, however, is the suggestion that Infinity Ward is creating a large-scale destructible environment that wont be as linear as many of the COD games. This should make for some unreal battles and some huge, sprawling multiplayer maps.
Rumors apply that Activision will officially announce Modern Warfare 3 later this week, but an E3 showing seems more likely. Eurogamer also claims that evidence, gathered from an internal Tesco database, reveals that MW3, codenamed 'Call Of Duty: Project Collossus' will be released on November 8.
This game is going to be epic, prepare your self's for hours of online play and no sleep. This is the latest Game Trailer that hit the net. We should be expecting this game November 8, 2011.
Get your copy of the game early and receive a two side poster with "exclusive information."
Prepare your self for better game play, visual effects and never before seen tricks and tactics. New Weapons, Vehicles and player detail are going to make this game like no other Call of Duty. We are all waiting for the release of this game and are exited to see what will it bring.

Assassin users can be tagged by those using the Recon Perk
After the MW3 Perks were announced, many people felt uneasy at the prospect of Assassin becoming the new Ghost perk.
In case you didn't already know, the Assassin perk is a Slot Two perk, which does the following:
As you can see, Infinity Ward have basically split up the Cold Blooded class. Assassin will not save you from killstreaks like Cold Blooded/Ghost did in the past.
To help balance out the game a bit more, the Recon perk will allow players to "tag" Assassin users so that they appear on the minimap. The Recon perk works like so:
Recon is a First-Tier perk.
In case you didn't already know, the Assassin perk is a Slot Two perk, which does the following:
- Regular: Immune to UAVs, Heartbeat sensors, Portable Radar and Thermal.
- Pro Version: Immune to the Counter UAV and the EMP

Sniper Rifles in MW3
Thankfully, the COD XP event led to the discolsure of lots of information regarding MW3. In terms of sniper rifles, we learned that quickscoping has returned. We also got to see what sniper rifles players can choose in MW3. Here is a screenshot of the Modern Warfare 3 weapons menu, which shows the sniper tier:
Above, you can see that the sniper rifles are as follows:
Above, you can see that the sniper rifles are as follows:
- Barrett .50 Cal
- L118A

Apparently, sniper rifles in MW3 will not have a random sway like they did in Call of Duty: Black Ops.

MW3 Multiplayer Gameplay
This is one of the first videos that actually showed MW3 multiplayer gameplay. It's a game of Domination on the map Resistance.
The next piece of MW3 gameplay is a game of Search and Destroy on a map called Arkade. The player is using the AS50 sniper rifle and the Spas-12.
This video is a game of Team Deathmatch on Underground. The player is using the Barett 50 cal sniper rifle.
The next bit of MW3 gameplay shows a game of Killed Confirmed on the map Village. The player is using an AS50 sniper rifle with the ACOG. He can also be seen using the Spas-12. In case you didn't already know, Shotguns will be primary weapons in Modern Warfare 3.
The next game shows Seananners playing CTF (Capture the Flag) on MW3. You get to see him using the UMP.

MW3 multiplayer teaser trailer details
The MW3 multiplayer teaser was leaked before the official video was uploaded. Here are a number of notable scenes.
The above screenshot shows a number of interesting things:
Here, we're shown what perks and killstreaks the player has equipped. In this case:
In the screenshot, we can see that Capture the Flag will be returning in MW3. He's using the M4 Assault Rifle as a primary weapon and the FMG9 as a secondary weapon. To view more information about these weapons, please visit our page on MW3 Weapons. This time, the player has "Focus" chosen as a Proficiency (Profici3ncy). We're still unsure as to what Proficiency's actually are. He has chosen the Bouncing Betty and an EMP Grenade as pieces of equipment. An EMP Grenade is an interesting concept to say the least. Will it disable all electronics and equipment within a certain blast radius?
If you look at the screenshot above, you'll notice that the player has chosen Support as a Strike Package. His killstreaks are Airdrop Trap, the Remote Turret and the EMP. The EMP will be an 11 killstreak in MW3. The Remote Turret seems be a moving robot that was shown in one of the scenes. The Airdrop Trap will probably act like a Hacked Care Package in Black Ops. His Perks as Extreme Conditioning, Assassin and Sitrep. To view details about the perks, please view our page on MW3 perks.
From the shot above, we can see that the Claymore and Portable Radar are pieces of equipment. The XM25 is chosen as a Secondary Weapon. The ACR is chosen as a Primary Weapon. He has chosen Focus as a Proficiency.
A new killstreak called the Ballistic Vest is chosen as a 5 kill streak. A Recon Drone is a 10 killstreak. The Strealth Bomber is a 14 killstreak. He has chosen Recon, Blast Shield and Dead Silence as perks.
A Proficiency called "Attachments 2" is chosen. The ACR is chosen as an Assault Rifle. It has two attachments - The Hybrid Scope and a Heartbeat Sensor. We can see that the Dragunov is chosen as a Secondary Weapon because he has Overkill selected as a perk. It has a Variable Zoom scope attached. This means that the Dragunov sniper rifle will be returning in MW3. He has the throwing knife chosen as a piece of equipment. It's also interesting to see a new piece of equipment called a "Trophy System". This looks to be the piece of equipment that we saw repel RPG rockets. Maybe, it's a portable EMP?
As you can see, he has Blind Eye Pro, Overkill Pro and Sitrep Pro chosen as Perks. He has chosen "Specialist" as a Strike Package. His Strike Chain is "Scavenger Pro", "Steady Aim Pro" and "Marksman Pro". This means that in MW3, you will be able to earn perks as killstreaks.
The above screenshot shows a number of interesting things:
- A new game mode called Kill Confirm3d (kill confirmed) will feature in Modern Warfare 3.
- The M4 is a primary weapon in MW3.
- A new feature called "Proficiency" has been introduced. We're still not sure what a "Proficiency" is. However, in this case, the player has "Kick" equipped as a Proficiency.
- You can choose two pieces of equipment in MW3. In this case, the player has equipped both the Flash bang and the Frag grenade.
- The grenade launcher or "noobtube" is equipped as a Secondary weapon. Will this mean that Primary Weapons won't have grenade launchers as attachments?
Here, we're shown what perks and killstreaks the player has equipped. In this case:
- The player has chosen a Strike Package called "Assault".
- The UAV is returning in MW3 - it's chosen as a 3 killstreak.
- A new killstreak called the AH-6 Overwatch is chosen as a 9 killstreak.
- Juggernaut is a 15-kill killstreak.
- For his first perk, the player has chosen Recon.
- For his second perk, the player has chosen Quickdraw, which will work like Sleight of Hand Pro.
- For his third perk, the player has chosen Stalker.
- We can also see that there is some integration with COD Elite. This means that the clans you setup in COD Elite will be shown in the game.
- To get an overview of the perks and what they do, visit our MW3 perks page.

MW3 Perks supposedly leaked
After a number of Youtube channels posted MW3 perk list information, their videos were immediately taken down after Activision filed a DMCA (take-down) notice against them. Fortunately for everyone who wants to see what perks will be in the Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer, by the time the videos were taken down, the perk list had already been posted on several websites. To see the supposed perk list for MW3, see our MW3 perks page.

MW3 will have dedicated servers
Today at Gamescom, which is the largest trade fair for interactive games, Activision announced that Modern Warfare 3 will have dedicated servers. This comes as great news to PC players, who felt jilted when it was announced that MW2 would use IWNet instead of dedicated servers. Activision, the publishing company behind the Call of Duty series, wanted to show that they are still serious about the PC platform.

The Dolphin Dive will not be returning in MW3
Treyarch introduced the Dolphin Dive in Call of Duty Black Ops. The dolphin dive basically allowed players to dive into a prone position. Some gamers liked the new feature - however, those who liked to dropshot found that it to be annoying as they could no longer dropshot while sprinting.
FourZeroTwo announced on Twitter that the dolphin dive would not be returning in Modern Warfare 3:

COD Points / Currency will not be featured in MW3
It looks as if MW3 won't have the COD Currency system that was first introduced in Black Ops. Speaking on Twitter, FourZeroTwo said:

MW3 Multiplayer Teaser details
To the delight of Call of Duty fans everywhere, Infinity Ward treated everyone to a small multiplayer teaser, which was shown at the end of the Spec Ops Trailer that they released on Tuesday.
Here is a screenshot of the multiplayer teaser scene.
A few things that immediately sprung to mind:
The mini map has a colored 3D effect. It looks a lot more detailed than the mini maps we've seen in previous Call of Duty releases.
We're shown the perspective of somebody that is holding an ACR Assault Rifle. He then switches to an FMG Machine Pistol. Could this mean that machine pistols will be returning as secondary weapons in MW3? In case you didn't realize, the two guns shown in the multiplayer teaser were also featured in the Kotaku leak. You can view screenshots of known MW3 weapons over on our weapons page.
Some sort of device is tripped (a bouncing betty?). The device then launches a bomb into the air, before it explodes, killing FourZeroTwo. Will the bouncing betty be featured as a piece of equipment in MW3?
If you look in the bottom right corner, you'll see what looks to be a Predator Missile. Basically, it looks as if the Predator Missile will be returning in MW3. Another more important thing that was spotted was what looks to be the ability to cycle through your killstreaks. A small select graphic appears over the latest killstreak / scorestreak that was earned.
After the bouncing betty earns our guy the kill, we're told that a killstreak / scorestreak called Juggernaut is ready for delivery. Firstly; does this mean that killstreaks will now be known as scorestreaks? For instance, if I cap two flags in Domination without dying, will I be awarded with a UAV? Secondly; what is the Juggernaut killstreak? Will a Juggernaut suit be delivered so that we can take extra damage? Or will an AI-controlled Juggernaut (like the one's seen in the Spec Ops trailer) be air lifted to the map so that he can fight on our behalf?

MW3 Spec Ops gameplay footage - Remington ACR
Robert Bowling, the Creative Strategist for Infinity Ward, decided to treat his Twitter followers today by posting a picture of MW3 Spec Ops. When asked what the gun shown in the picture was, Bowling replied that it was the Remington ACR. In case you didn't already know, the Remington ACR was featured in the MW3 gun leak a while back.
As you can see, the ACR is visible in the screenshot above. According to Bowling, the guy with the yellow helmet is a Juggernaut. A Juggernaut will be a Spec Ops enemy that will require more damage to kill.

Second Chance will not be featured in MW3
Second Chance earned itself a bad rep in Black Ops. The perk allowed players to be revived after they had received the damage needed to die. This frustrated many players, as the perk would often slow down the game and make it difficult to fight off multiple enemies. Speaking during his questions and answers thread on Reddit.com, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling made it clear that Second Chance would not feature in MW3. During the AMA (Ask Me Anything) thread, one Reddit user asked:
Bowling's reply was straight-forward:
What perks are you dropping from previous games? OMA, Commando, Second Chance?
Bowling's reply was straight-forward:
All of the above. None of those are perks in Modern Warfare 3.

Will quickscoping return in MW3?
Speaking during an IAMA on the popular social news website Reddit, Infinity Ward's Creative Strategist made it clear that it is currently possible to quickscope in the MW3 multiplayer. When asked if quickscoping would make a reappearance, Bowling said:
I think the most interesting aspect of this answer is that he made it clear that IW's opinion/philosophy on quickscoping hasn't changed since MW2. In case you didn't already know, Bowling has often stated on Twitter that he believes quickscoping takes skill.
Currently, you can still quick scope in Modern Warfare 3. Keep in mind though, multiplayer is always changing at this stage (new perks, new balancing, new everything all the time based on feedback), however our philosophy on that hasn't changed since MW2.

There will be no Stopping Power in MW3
Speaking in response to an alleged multiplayer leak on the popular gaming website Kotaku, Infinity Ward's Creative Strategist Robert Bowling stated that Stopping Power will not be returning in Modern Warfare 3. Bowling also dispelled rumors about "Team Perks" appearing in MW3:
When asked whether the lack of Stopping Power would prevent MW3 from having a fast-paced multiplayer, Bowling insinuated that base damage of weapons will be made higher than before in order to compensate for the lack of Stopping Power:
There is no Stopping Power period. We also have no such thing as 'team perks'. All other #MW3 MP details remain undisclosed.

MW3 Spec Ops details released
It has been revealed that Spec Ops on MW3 will have its very own matchmaking system and that it will also include a progressive ranking system.
One interesting part of Spec Ops will be the new Survival Mode, which will force the player to fight off and defend against waves of different kinds of enemies. A few of these enemies have already been touched-on by Infinity Ward's Creative Strategist, Robert Bowling. The player will have to fend against regular enemies, dogs, Juggernauts (in case you didn't already know, a Juggernaut is a regular enemy with added health) and Suicide Bombers. While speaking about the new Spec Ops mode, Bowling said that each enemy will have to be fought off using a different strategy.

Complete Breakdown of the MW3 Reveal Trailer
This is a complete breakdown of the MW3 Reveal Trailer.
The Modern Warfare 3 trailer starts off by showing us events in America.
As you can see, it looks as if New York is under a full-blown attack. We have warships in the Hudson River and attack helicopters and fighter jets in the sky. Many of the surrounding skyscrapers are on fire and have suffered heavy damage.
The next scene shows us the New York Stock Exchange building and a hovering attack chopper. This is interesting because one of the multiplayer maps listed in the MW3 leak a few weeks ago was called Exchange. Will we have a multiplayer map that is based on the New York Stock Exchange?
In the above scene, we're shown a submarine, which is launching a missile from the Hudson River.
In the above scene, a fellow soldier is tossing you some ammo. I'm not an expert on weapons, but the other soldier in this scene looks as if he is holding the M4A1 assault rifle, which was a multiplayer weapon in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
In the next scene (above), we're shown what is happening in London, England. As you can see, Big Ben is in the background. Here, we are shown a group of soldiers that are equipped with the MP5 Sub Machine Gun. It looks as if the MP5 has a Holographic Sight. In case you didn't know, the MP5 was an SMG in the COD 4 multiplayer. The MP5K variant was an SMG in the MW2 multiplayer.
Here, we're shown British soldiers/SAS/Police members firing upon an encroaching truck / van. Later in the scene, the truck flips over. As you can see, British police cars are strung along the road. The fact that they're firing upon a truck suggests that England is dealing with a terrorist threat rather than a foreign invasion.
For some reason, it looks as if we're chasing after a train in the London Underground. This is the second level of the Modern Warfare 3 campaign. During this level, which is called "Mind the Gap", you take control of Sgt. Marcus Burns, who is an SAS soldier. During this mission, you drive a pick-up truck through the subway while chasing a train that is filled with enemy soldiers.
Later on in the scene, a truck smashes into the front of the train carriage, causing it to slide off track and topple over
For the next scene, we're brought to Paris in France. As you can see, the Eiffel Tower is shown in the background.
In this scene, two sets of uniformed soldiers are fighting against one another. This suggests that France is trying to fight off an invasion. Has Russia invaded France as well? Has another country sided with Russia?
Here, we're shown a van belonging to the Gendarmerie. It is being chased by a Mil Mi-24 helicopter gunship, which is firing at through the glass roof. In case you didn't know, the Mil Mi-24 is/was used by the Soviet Army from 1972 onwards. The National Gendarmerie (Gendarmerie nationale) is a French paramilitary force that is in charge of public safety. It also carries out civilian policing duties.
This is an interesting scene because it looks as if the soldier on the left is using the Famas. In case you didn't know, the Famas is manufactured in France. It appeared in Modern Warfare 2 as a burst-fire Assault Rifle and later in Black Ops as a fully automatic Assault Rifle. Another point to note is that these are American soldiers in France (you can see American flags on their uniform). What are American soldiers doing in France? I'm not entirely sure what weapon the soldier on the right is carrying. Whatever it is, it looks as it has a suppressor.
There's nothing that can really be said about the scene above except that it looks as if Paris is being engulfed by a large battle. The vehicle above doesn't look like a Humvee. Instead, it looks like a private military vehicle (French paramilitary?).
Next, we're shown what is happening in Germany. From the scenes we are shown, it looks as if Germany is also dealing with an invasion in MW3. This begs the question. What country or countries are invading the US, France and Germany? I intentionally left England out of that list because judging from the trailer, it looks as if the British are dealing with a terrorist group and not an actual invasion. I could be wrong about that, mind you. In the scene above, a M1A1 Abrams tank is clearly visible. This is an American tank. Are the US involved in Germany as well?
In this scene, an airstrike is being carried out on a tank. The aircraft is a US A-10 Warthog. The tank is a Russian T-80 tank.
For this scene, we're brought back to the New York Stock Exchange building. Soldiers are running across the street while flares lie in the background. Admittedly, the flares look like enemy tactical insertions.
During this scene, Makarov's voice cuts in and says:
The scene aboves shows us a military patrol. I can't make out what weapons they are carrying. It looks as if one of the soldiers might be holding an RPD LMG.
It looks as if the soldier above is carrying an AK47. Is the soldier Russian? It looks as if a Russian BTR-80 personnel carrier is present in the background. Are those civilians being rounded up in the background?
The soldier above is holding an AK47. Men in plain clothes (civilians or terrorists?) are being lined up.
I've heard a lot of people saying that the guy above is Ghost. Who knows? MW2 brought with it a lot of unexpected twists. Who's to say that a character called Ghost won't return from the 'dead' in MW3?
Here, we're shown special operatives (SAS?) breaching a door. This shot kind of reminds me of that first mission in Call of Duty 4 where they have to infiltrate the ship. The men above are using the MP5 SMG.
It looks as if this is one of the Modern Warfare 3 level's. As you can see, you're in a flooded New York tunnel, which is littered with cars and tankers. On the sign, it says that Brooklyn is 1.5 miles away (I think).
This is another exciting scene as it shows the AC130 in use. In case you didn't already know, the AC130 was a popular killstreak in MW2. The operator had the choice of three types of on-board weapons. Because this is the campaign mode, it is not entirely certain that the AC130 will return as a killstreak in the MW3 multiplayer.
The above scene shows you inside of a helicopter, taking control of a minigun. You're firing at a Russian Mil Mi-24 gunship. I'm guessing that this level will be full of air fights.
This looks to be another piece of in-game footage. By the looks of things, you're driving a speedboat through the Hudson River, New York. The guy in front of you is holding an MP5 SMG. As you can see, warships surround you and it looks as if a large battle has taken place.

Is doesn't take the most powerful nations on earth to create the next global conflict. Just the will... of a single man.
